It is with great sadness that we announce that we will not be organizing The Power of Storytelling conference in October 2020, as scheduled.
The past couple of months of lockdown, coupled with ceaseless uncertainty about restrictions and new infection waves, have made it clear to us that we cannot deliver the kind of experience The Power of Storytelling is about, neither for our participants, nor for our speakers.
The Power of Storytelling is a gathering that thrives on the connection, community, and closeness that only a physical space creates. While other events can be transformed online, we decided ours is not one of them – especially not for its 10th anniversary edition.
We hope with all our heart this is just a delay to overcome and we will be coming back next year. By 1st of July we plan to decide whether to hold the 10th edition in Spring or Fall, 2021.
We have already contacted participants who booked an early-bird seat. If you are among them, and have not received an email from Carla, please send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We thank all our partners, sponsors, supporters and friends who have helped us create meaningful experiences for our participants in the past, and we hope to continue having them by our side in the future.
As we said at our 9th edition, we truly believe stories heal, especially in difficult times. Which is why we’ll leave you with a recommendation to revisit Tatiana Țîbuleac’s story of the needle and the thread, as a reminder that stories have the power to reconnect our families.
See you soon.
